It was recommended to me over and over again, and of course I knew it was good advice, but I just never did get around to opening the account. Now we are finally on Facebook, and I have started working on building out the profile.
So, The Peninsula Bookman is looking for Facebook users to visit our page, “like” us, and to start and join discussions on subjects of interest to readers, writers, and lovers of Door County and Wisconsin.
The quieter days of the winter should mean that I will have more time to organize and develop our Facebook presence, and hopefully our friends will help with more ideas for posts for this lately neglected blog.
I will be starting our first discussion today and will be keeping it as simple as it could be: What are you reading?
In the future we hope to use Facebook to post news about upcoming events, new releases, Door County and Wisconsin authors, and perhaps even an virtual book group. If you have any other ideas, fire off an e-mail.
